Allotment consultation

Spring 2022

The consultation activities provided an opportunity for residents and allotment holders to view the proposals and submit comments and questions.  

Public event

An information drop-in session took place and was attended by more than 25 local residents and allotment holders.  Exhibition boards outlined the plans in detail and members of the project team were on hand to answer questions and take comments.

Leaflets

Leaflets were distributed to properties around the site.


The Guildford Allotment Society (GAS) circulated the leaflet to their members.

Allotment newsletter

During the consultation period regular newsletters were sent to allotment holders to keep them informed about the proposals including updates on the planning application and works on the new allotment sites being provided in the borough.

Questionaires

Questionnaires were sent to allotment holders to help understand their specific needs and requirements. This information was used to help inform the programme, the next steps and the support needed from Guildford Borough Council.
