Introduction

IIn May 2023, an application was submitted under Section 16 of the Commons Act 2006 to deregister and exchange areas of common land.

Key details:

• Release Land: 1,691 m² of common land at the Woking Road and Moorfield Road junction, located west of Slyfield Industrial Estate.
• Replacement Land: 1,998 m² of land located at Burpham Court Farm, Jacobs Well Road, Guildford.

The land swap will:

• Allow for new infrastructure improvements
• Provide enhanced green space for the community.

Work programme

The application was approved and work to create the new area of common land was completed in May 2024.
